My World of Whiskey is created with the user experience perspective in mind and what a user with a collection at home would value most. Unlike most apps, it also accounts for a user’s reduction in his collection and associated value as well as allowing the capture of items a user might experience outside of home for great pours not in one’s collection.
Further, it will help users find sought after bottles at nearby locations, receive updates when those bottles are available, create multiple Infinity Bottles (and personalize the naming of them), collaborate with friends and groups of friends, find great places on a travel route, and find favorite stores and bars from members in the community in specific locations.
My World of Whiskey represents your world. It offers a holistic, all-around view of an enthusiast’s collection, favorites, a detailed set of Dashboard metrics, and a Friend community to collaborate and share experiences, all in the palm of your hand or available on your laptop / desktop.
You can either easily use the Scan tool on the app and manually populate the other data elements in the tool as you go, or if you prefer, you can Scan your collection then download the Bulk Upload Template, manually input the relevant data elements missing from a scan and upload.
As you purchase new bottles, the tool will automatically capture the majority of the key data elements when you go through the “Add” or “Consume” functions. You can Edit any that you are missing or seem to be incorrect.
If you have your own tracking spreadsheet then you can transfer your data into the Bulk Upload Template to the respective matching column (unfortunately column headers have to be standardized to match the backend, so we cannot upload everyone’s individual spreadsheet in multiple formats) and then upload it to your account.
If you do not have your own tracking spreadsheet, the suggested approach is to first Scan your bottles, then download the Bulk Upload Template, populate any blank data elements you know, and then upload it to your account. The tool should populate most of your remaining data elements but will not know club or store picks, sticker names, prices paid, etc. Don’t worry if you don’t have pricing information of what you paid, the MSRP and Secondary Pricing values will be available for each product’s information and estimation purposes. You can then start building that data up with each new acquisition to your collection as the tool will capture the majority of the key data element when you “Add” or “Consume”.
Add is for items in your Collection, i.e., New Purchases, Samples Received, or Gifts Received.
Consume is related to items not in your collection that you may also want to track, i.e., items you tried at a Bar or you had a Share with a group of friends and tried samples from their bottles.
Reduce is related to actions that affect the amount of whiskey remaining in your collection. There are five ways the Reduce function tracks the volume remaining in your collection – Personal Consumption, Samples Given, Gifts Given, Shares, and transfers to your Infinity Bottles (this is handled directly from the Infinity Bottles page).
Personal Consumption is related to items you drink that reduce the volume remaining in your Collection.
Consume, as noted above, is specified for items you drink that are outside of your collection e.g., at a Bar (technically, that is personal consumption as well) or via items friends shared with you, as these do not reduce anything in your collection. For your Personal Metrics dashboard view, both are considered under the Overall Consumption table calculations.
While the tool is an extra feature for those interested in using it for personal information, and is more conservative in its estimation than most online tools, it is not intended for official use. As indicated, it does not consider every factor that determines a legally binding reading. Users must personally acknowledge that and should use the information as a guide as to their current condition. As also indicated, anyone over 0.00 acknowledges responsibility for their own actions and agrees they should not drive and get a taxi or driver who is completely sober to take them home.
Yes. Your annual subscription will start from the month you select that plan. Credit toward your annual plan does not carry forward from your initial monthly plan(s).
Once subscribed annually, unfortunately refunds cannot be processed. Your account will be active for the tenure of your remaining subscription period, though, so if you decide to use your My World of Whiskey within that time period it will be accessible. After the annual time period ends, your account will automatically be disabled and no longer billed but you can still login and see your collection and resubscribe if you would like to reactivate the features.
